Are you ready for a little piece of paradise?

Summer is finally here, unless it is raining here today. But I'am so ready for free day, only 2 more weeks and before the kids are free for summer. I'm so looking forward doing fun things with them and my hubby. This is what inspired me to create this fun and colorful summer collection.

Summer can be a paradise for everyone on a different way or a different place. You can have your own little paradise in the garden or what a about a beautiful paradise at the beach or pool. With this collection you can scrap any memory you would love to scrap. It doesn't mattter what place it is made... Now Available in both of my shops.

Of course like always the best deal for you is the bundled deal. Save 49% of the original amount.

Spotlight: Escape to Africa

Hello CT Member Henriëtte aka Angel Jet here :)
Today I want to put Wendy’s kit Escape to Africa in the spotlight. I’m in love with this kit because of his warm colors and the great African elements in it.
The scrapbooking kit includes 71 beautiful and unique elements, 18 patterned papers and 11 solids. It is also available as a bundled collection which includes also 12 pocket cards in both directions and 4 ready to go pocket templates. So it can be used for pocket pages as well as more traditional kind of layouts.

"I was inprired by the friendship my little girl had with a few African girls. They were dancing and playing together and my daughter and I were both amazed at the beautiful colors they were wearing. They preformed a beautiful and typical African dance. This was the moment I told myself I wanted to make an African inspired collection. With Africa we also think about all the beautiful animals who live there...so that made it even more fun, to add a little bit of zoo inside as well as a little escape. It all turned out into a beautiful, colorful, warm African collection that can be used for any zoo pictures as well."

This is what Wendy said about her collection. It attracts my attention even more because my daughter spend one month in South Africa last February doing volunteering work at a wildlife project for monkeys. She made gorgeous photos on a tour in Kruger Park which I can use for my layouts. This kit fits perfect with the photo of my daughter between monkeys at a volunteer project in South Africa.

Another page frome me with this beautiful kit.

And now let us see a few layouts which I have found in the gallerie of DST.

By Anja_77:
Don’t you just love these warm colors?

By Miranda Barten:
I like the circled cutouts tucked under the pictures.

By FILIPPOK:
It´s a perfect example of a pocket page using Escape to Africa.

By Stellamarie:
A layout which caught my eye. I love the positioning of the African elements on the left border.

By ArisaMinamoto:
A wonderful way to use the kit to make a pocket page layout. Because of the black and white pictures the colors of the kit stand out even more.

The Escape to Africa Digital Scrapkit and Bundled Collection are both available in the stores @

I hope these kit have inspired you to record a few more memories, and also to think about how to use the bits and pieces of these kits in different ways. Have a great week and happy scrapping!

Behind the Layout with Arisa

Hello CT Member Arisa here :)
I created a new Layout with the new Explore:Dinosaur Collection from WendyP Designs. Wich is still on sale. This layout was very spontaneous. I have not much to say about it. But let us see the final result.

And bevor you ask. Here comes the full process video of this layout that you can watch!
Have fun :) See you next time, Arisa

make black and white photos pop

Hello everyone!
CT Member Arisa here, to bring you all a new video and tutorial
I love black and white photos! I shoot all of my photos in color and edit it in photoshop later. Turning a photo into a good black and white is fairly simple.
Lets take it step by step:

Convert your photo to black and white.
Adjustments > Black & White

Next I increase the brightness. Here I increased it to +50 but it will vary depending on your photo.
Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast

And finally, just increase your blacks. That will make your details and features pop. Here I increased the black to +30 but it will vary depending on your photo.

With these photo's i made a page process video as well.please enjoy!!

Here you can see the final result of my page using Wendy's Winter Woodland.

Digital Project Life: Plan your book

Hello everyone! CT Member Arisa here
Before we can even begin to make our Project Life book, we need a plan!
It saves a lot of work if you already know what you want, from the beginning believe me

Think about what you want. Hybrid or 100% Digital? 12x12, 6x8, 6x12 or maybe a completely different size? Which layout you want to use?

My pages are 7x7 with design A. 100% digital.
For a photo book providers I have been already decided. It will be Blurb.

Each photo book provider offers different formats. It is important to know that each provider works with various page sizes. 12x12 is not equal to 12x12. Blurb offers a booksize calculator: http://tiny.cc/vhsn7x

As you can clearly see here the page size is not exactly 7x7. To save me a lot of work later I customize my layouts.

And now we can start with our design
I created this cover page with Wendy's Resolutions available @ The Digital Press...

And now enjoy the Video, it will show you how I made this Project Life Cover.
